WE ATTENDED a weekend auto show in a local park in Newcastle, Pennsylvania. It was a very hot day and any sign of water relief—such as the fountain in the nearby duck pond—promised some relief.
As we drove into the park, we spotted this sign indicating a duck crossing. Motorists are required to stop and let duck pedestrians cross safely. At the speed of WADDLE, these are some very special pedestrians, reminding us to slow down and smell the duck pond.
Too adorable not to snap and share with friends.

I am so bummed that I didn’t take a picture of the sign in the Cotswolds that reminded drivers to be careful of elderly people crossing the street. The couple (husband and wife) were all hunched over and looked as if they were taking their last breaths on Earth.
It was not only hilarious but required a double-take!
That does sound adorable and hilarious, like a scene from a syndicated cartoon. (Although when I’m that age, IF I’m still ambulatory, I do hope motorists will slow down for me as I take my morning tortoise trot.)
P.S. And now you know, Cathie, that wherever you go you must be ready to snap a Funky Photo at a moment’s notice. 😀
